Although it has been a long, cold winter on the farm, we have been busy preparing for springtime activities. Farm crew has been braving the cold to make sure that the animals are fed, watered and warm. We are expecting spring piglets, calves, lambs, and will have a new brood of chicks. Maintenance crew has spent endless hours shoveling snow. All of the crews have helped prepare products for the Hopewell Farm and Craft Market that is opening on March 10th. Everyone is looking forward to the spring, especially maple syrup making! We can't wait to tap the sugar maples, get the horses hitched up , collect sap and boil it into our delicious Hopewell maple syrup. It makes the winter months tolerable when you have something fun to look forward to.
