Craft Market a Success for Residents and the Community

Craft Market a Success for Residents and the Community

The Hopewell Farm and Craft Market has just closed for the season, but residents are already back to work, painting bird houses, molding leaf bowls, arranging dried flowers and more to make sure the shelves are stocked for a March opening.

Our first year was a huge success, with sales from resident-made crafts and Hopewell-produced eggs, vegetables and syrup totaling $11,000, which exceeded our goal. The Holiday Open House attracted customers from across the area, who enjoyed cookies while they shopped for ornaments, wooden decorations and greeting cards featuring winter scenes from the farm.

The market has been an exciting opportunity for our residents to learn vocational and customer service skills, as well as provide a creative outlet to aid in the healing and recovery process. A big thank you to our Hopewell community for supporting the Farm and Craft Market, we look forward to seeing you on opening day!
